• Meriter Hospital Now Live on GCS Archive

Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, has successfully gone live on the GCS Archive product. Meriter installed the Patient Accounting and Medical Record applications. This implementation now allows Meriter the unique capability of viewing all of their legacy host system patient data in a format that is in an identical screen format as the prior system. This eliminated most of the end-user training which is a major benefit to both the users and IT support. The hospital is now able to sunset the legacy system hardware and software.

• GHS Completes Archiving Project

Genesis Health System has completed Phase II of the GCS Archive product implementation. Nearly two decades after being installed, the Precision 2000 system is finally getting decommissioned along with the legacy HP3000 hardware platform that it resided. This will not only allow GHS to recapture the large foot print of the HP3000 hardware, but it will also provide future cost savings in the area of resource, licensing, and support services of the legacy system. GCS, Inc. has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with GHS and is proud of the fact we could provide such a feature rich go forward archiving system for the permanent retention and retrieval of their patient accounting, medical record, general accounting and HR payroll data.
